Yuraku Japanese Restaurant

Yuraku Japanese Restaurant, located in Germantown on Frederick Road, is well deserving of an hour drive from my home. There is usually a long line/wait for dinner in this little, cozy place. It is better to make reservations early. Going there in a party of 6, we ordered the combination of sushi and sashimi, priced at $120, the biggest boat on the menu. In return, this Japanese restaurant isn't cheap with their food. Each guest receives a serving of steamed egg, miso soup, and Japanese ginger salad while all gets to share a seared salmon head. The salmon head might look gross but it is absolutely delicious.
These appetizers are a great start to a very nice meal. It's a good set up for the giant sushi boat.
There are 6 special rolls of sushi and more sashimi than you can eat. I especially enjoyed the favor and texture of the white tuna and salmon. Overall, everything was well put together and surprised me with quantity and quality. Yuraku Japanese Restaurant on Urbanspoon

Edo Sushi 2

The Chirashi Sushi looks absolutely wonderful and delicious! Beautifully plated and probably the best thing on the menu.
Bento Box! A good value for a variety of food. Edo Sushi 2 on Urbanspoon

Outback Steakhouse

It has been forever since I last blogged! I miss blogging...

Anyway, I've had the pleasure to visit Outback Steakhouse close to my house and finally tried out the blooming onion. It has been highly praised and I would have to agree. The presentation and the taste of the combination of fried onion and the sauce are something to rave about. It is definitely a must-have appetizer.
Another plus about Outback is the appetizer bread that comes before the meal. Try it out and you'll see that the texture is perfect and the taste is great and light. I think there's a hint of chocolate in the bread :)
I had a tough time choosing what entrée to eat. Nothing really jumped out at me and I just chose the Sweet Glazed Roasted Pork Tenderloin. It was not good at all. Thumbs down. I would recommend on getting something more simple like a burger or a steak.
Overall, I wouldn't go to Outback Steakhouse and expect a good dinner. I feel that this is more of a place to hang out with friends or for happy hour. Drink, eat some appetizers, and have a good time. Outback Steakhouse on Urbanspoon
